The purpose of 3D laser scan of Mother Nam Hai Bac Lieu statue
This is an initial digital transformation project of Bac Lieu province.
The main purpose is to save the unique design of Mother Nam Hai statue with extremely high accuracy. Accuracy below mm.
For servicing or redesign at smaller or larger magnification.
Accurate 3D scanning of the statue will reduce distortion when redesigning the statue at a different scale.

Equipments used for 3D laser scan of Mother Nam Hai Bac Lieu statue
Hop Nhat Bach Viet contractor used 3D laser sanner of 2 brands:
- Scanner Trimle X7
- Scanner Leica BLK 360
- Accessories to improve accuracy: target mirror, target ball.
- Because the statue’ height is more than 10m, Bach Viet contractor uses a specialized crane truck. The crane will raise the scanner to a height of 12m to scan the high positions of the statue.
